Great Upper Body Exercises

I could go on and on and on about the different techniques, styles, routines etc. that people do, and the thing is, it may work for them but maybe not as much for you. bodybuildings a very personal experience and i would say its up to the lifter to gauge how much to do of each exercise, and to experiment and not be afraid to try new variations. one stand by for upper body in my opinion is Pull Ups/Chin Ups. Not only are you simultaneously targetting almost every upper body muscles, but youre also stretching out while strengthening at the same time. If you want that classic V shape then i would say include more Pull ups or Lat pulldowns into your routines. And while most guys says that the wider the grip the better it is , i think its very important to change up the grip. Ive always felt like my body responded that way. A great way to train upper body and save money is to invest in a door-frame screw in pullup bar. or an iron gym, which is an equivalent only it attaches without screws. Sometimes its easier to train more when its in the privacy of your own home, and that way you dont have to deal with people 1) hogging the bars 2) telling you all their training secrets or 3) giving you crappy looks when you start struggling.
If you invest in a pull-up bar, it doesnt take the place of the other gym exercises, but its a great way to supplement your training and getting a wide, strong back.
